eberly
At the age of 4, Eberly began taking dance classes and found her passion for movement. She has an intuitive understanding of the body and brings a creative yet functional style to each workout and yoga flow. With a holistic approach to health and wellness, Eberly helps her clients to find happiness. She is dedicated to energy work and it can be felt in all she does. Her calm demeanor will help you deal with stress and anxiety, but don't be fooled...she'll still give you a killer workout! And after you get one of her signature stretches or Thai Massage, you'll feel like a new person.

Eberly's method of movement training combines dynamic mobility training, strength training, and high intensity interval training into an intelligently sequenced weekly training program. She believes in building a solid base on which to build proper strength and endurance. This means correcting muscular imbalances to improve movement mechanics and ensure safe alignment. The goal of movement training is to be able to move through life feeling strong and healthy and to minimize and avoid injury.

The ancient system of Yoga is truly wise and offers tremendous whole body benefits. At The Movement Project we value this practice and encourage our clients to include it in their weekly movement protocol. Yoga strengthens the body through functional, dynamic body weight movements that can improve mobility. One if the greatest reasons we find such value in a regular yoga practice, and perhaps the reason many people find it so challenging, is that it challenges your mind to focus and accept being uncomfortable. If you can do that on your mat, it becomes easier to gracefully manage all the other discomforts and annoyances of daily life. Because Yoga is intricately linked to the breath, this practice is also highly effective at balancing the nervous system and reducing anxiety and stress.

Eberly's Method of Thai Yoga massage is the best of Tradition, learned in Thailand and combined with her uniquely initiative touch. She provides a deep, intense and relaxing Thai Yoga Massage getting at the root of your discomfort with intelligence and skill. She interprets the traditional methods rooted along the sen lines and marma pressure points within her holistic movement context. In combination with passive yoga poses and with assisted stretching her Thai Yoga massage will give you a tailor made experience you will not forget.
Eberly has studied Thai Yoga Massage in both Thailand and New York City and she brings you the best of both worlds. She interprets the traditional thai massage methods along the sen lines and marma pressure points within her holistic movement context to address any imbalances or discomfort you may be feeling in your body. This modality combines massage with passive yoga poses and assisted stretching to release tension, mobilize the joints and lengthen the muscles, while providing a relaxing and blissful experience.
This method of stretching is meant to override the body's stretch response and works on the principle of reciprocal inhibition. Each stretch targets a specific muscle by activating its antagonistic muscle group. 6 to 12 repetitions are done for each stretch, gradually opening up the range of motion. This is a safe and effective method of stretching that can be done before or after a workout or as a stand alone session, and can replace a traditional massage as a relaxation or recovery method.
